You've been imagining it. The ideas keep swirling around your brain. You can't stop fantasising about holding that book with your name on it...
But life keeps getting in the way.
It feels too big and overwhelming.
You don't even know if you'd be able to get it published at the end of all that work, anyway.
Well, 2027 is the year your book becomes a reality!
How do I know? Because when you join the Write Your Book programme, you get the support, guidance, encouragement and feedback you need to make real progress.
You don't just get support to write the book, you get support to publish it too.

This isn't one of those "write a book in a month" courses. You can't write a (good) book in a month. Not without a serious amount of stress, anyway. We want to build a sustainable writing habit that moves you forward in the direction of your dreams without giving you a breakdown in the process.

This is ideal for writers of fiction, memoir and creative non-fiction. These are projects that need time to breathe, that take a lot of thinking about, careful structuring and the use of literary techniques. That's why they take a year to develop.
If you're working on a business book or self-help book, I offer another course that would be better for you - email allegra@creativefix.net for more details.

Because Page Against the Machine is a publisher, we can offer publication to titles that are completed to a high standard during the programme. Participation in the programme does not guarantee publication, but I'll do everything I can to help you get to that stage. You will also get feedback on your idea and manuscript throughout, and, at the end of the year, if you're not ready for publication yet, I'll show you how to get there or give you the tools to self-publish for yourself. I'll also prepare you to market and sell your book.
I'm an author, columnist and creative coach.
I'm the author of three non-fiction books -The Inclusion Journey (co-authored, 2024), Creativity Is Your Self-Care (2024) and Divergent Creatives (2026). My debut novel, Stars That Have People Names, will be released at the end of 2026.
I'm also a former publishing editor with a Master's degree in Publishing from the University of the Arts, London. After I left the publishing industry, I worked as a marketing strategist for the best part of a decade. So I know what it takes to write, edit, publish and market books!

Resources released each month to help you with every stage of your writing journey, that you can access on your own schedule and work through at your own pace.
Each month, a masterclass webinar will be released, guiding you through each stage from ideation to promotion. Watch in your own time, as many times as you like.
Resources to support you with setting achievable goals and planning sustainable progress, as well as regular check-ins to keep you on track.
Be part of a group of writers, with whom you can share challenges, workshop ideas and celebrate wins.
In month 1, you will have the opportunity to send me your synopsis or idea for my feedback on viability and commercial opportunities.
In months 2 - 11, you can send me extracts of up to 10,000 words for me to review and provide feedback on.
In month 12, I will help you prepare a pitch for submission to literary agents or publishers, and you will be invited to send yours to me for feedback.
Participation in this course does not guarantee that your book will be published by Page Against the Machine. However, I will help you shape your book and craft a submissions package to give you the best chance of being picked up by PATM or another publisher or a literary agent. I will also give you the tools and information to navigate self-publishing, if you want to take full control yourself.
Email allegra@creativefix.net if there's anything you'd like to discuss about the course.
