Divergent Creatives is becoming a book!
I launched the Divergent Creatives programme in 2024 to help neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill and otherwise outside-the-box writers and artists to let go of societal expectations and build a creative practice that works for them as individuals.
Since then I have been blown away by the response. People who have completed the course have:
- Finished projects they have been stuck on for decades
- Built businesses they have been unsure about for years
- Launched work they'd always dreamed of doing but had been afraid to start
I want to take that permission to create, that empowerment, that revelation that you are not broken to a wider audience.
So I'm making the Divergent Creatives course into a book!
Now, more than ever, we need to hear different voices
The stories of a society shape its cultural narrative, which determines... everything. In our current world, too many voices are silenced, too many perspectives are hidden. If we are going to build a better future, we need to hear from a wider variety of people.
Divergent Creatives exists to empower you to share your story.
In the course, I walk you, step by step, through practical ways to release limiting beliefs, understand your brain and build a creative practice that meets your unique needs.
In the book, we'll take it back a step. I want you to put down the book having learned:
- You are not the problem, the system is
- Why and how the current model has held so many of us back
- What needs to change
- What is within our control to change
- That we need your work in the world - yes, you; especially you
- Why you deserve to create in whatever way works for you
- How you can begin to redesign your creative practice to suit your needs
